              President Franklin Roosevelt called December 7, 1941,
            
            
              “a date which will live in infamy.” Seven decades later,
            
            
              our nation remembers the valor of those who lost their
            
            
              lives that day in the bombing of Pearl Harbor. A series
            
            
              of special events being held on the island of Oahu dur-
            
            
              ing the frst week of December—a symposium, tribute
            
            
              concerts, parades, documentary screenings, memorial
            
            
              ceremonies and special boat tours—will mark the
            
            
              70th anniversary of Pearl Harbor Day and honor the
            
            
              country’s World War II veterans. Most events are free
            
            
              and open to the public, but seating is limited and
            
            
              reservations may be required. Te Pearl Harbor Bike
            
            
              Path, a 10-mile rail-trail, takes you around much
            
            
              of the harbor, providing views of the battleships in
            
            
              the East Loch and ending near the World War II

              the 24th annual National Fiery Foods & Barbecue
