A View From…
This view of the lovely Youghiogheny River in Ohiopyle
State Park stopped riders in their tracks—at least for
a moment. The Sojourn included time to enjoy local
attractions including, above right, Frank LloydWright’s
famous Fallingwater and, far right, a day of rafting on the
Youghiogheny.
Rail-trail fans love their bridges, and the GAP has plenty
to admire, including the award-winning Ohiopyle Low
Bridge, right, and, below, the impressive Keystone Viaduct,
100
feet above the Casselman River south of Meyersdale.
One of the great aspects of
the Sojourn is that riders can
go at their own pace. So there’s
plenty of time to stop and enjoy
the sights, whether it’s, right,
the view from Ohiopyle High
Bridge, below, the food and
entertainment at Rockwood
Mill Shoppes and Opera House,
or, bottom, views of the rivers
and streams that are a constant
companion on the ride.
