revitalized industrial district across the river from downtown
Eau Claire. The Acoustic Café (

calendar of jazz, folk and American roots music. Some of the
musicians are students from the University of Wisconsin-Eau
Claire’s renowned jazz program.

Outside of Eau Claire and
Durand, the Chippewa River State Trail requires a $4 daily user
fee, payable at local businesses as well as a self-pay station on
the outskirts of Eau Claire.
Getting There:
Eau Claire is 90 miles east of Minneapolis-
St. Paul, Minn., and 180 miles north of Madison,Wis., on
Interstate 94. Chippewa Valley Regional Airport is served
by United Airlines. Arriving at the Minneapolis-St. Paul
International Airport, you can take a van shuttle operated
by Chippewa Valley Airport Service (

or rent a car. The Greyh
o have routes to Eau Claire.
Where to Stay:
The Ramada hotel in downtown Eau Claire is
convenient to shops, restaurants and the trail itself. Camping
is available in Durand at Tarrant Park.

Riverside Bike and Skate in the campus business

not only bikes but also kayaks for paddling the rivers
